India Independence Day:
India Day Celebration at the Zoo Lake is a fun family outing with the opportunity to learn more about this fascinating and vibrant culture. Hosted by the India Club. the theme for the event is Festivals of India. and the programme will feature a range of performances embracing traditional songs. dance and skits.
Highlights of the program include Bihu dance along with Bihu folks songs; the kaleidoscope of colour presented in the Gidda dance. the classical dance of Odissi and renditions of traditional songs from different regions of India. There will also be market stalls selling Indian cuisine and traditional clothing. Certainly a feast for the senses. don’t miss it.
